Bailey is a business coach for Beginning and Budding Infopreneurs

Bailey didn’t start out as an online business guru. Like many others, she was caught up in the ‘rat race’ as I tried to follow what I thought was the ‘right’ path in life. She was high school valedictorian, graduated magna cum laude with multiple engineering degrees from university, and took a job for many years working the 9-to-5 consulting grind in California.

“To most, it must have seemed like I ‘had it all’, but I wasn’t anywhere near being fulfilled. I had dreams, goals, and ambitions that the cubicle life would never allow me to achieve. I didn’t want to do just one thing for the rest of my life”.

So She decided to make a change.

She left her corporate career, studied entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and launched my own online, location independent business with the goal of earning my own income from anywhere in the world.

An avid globetrotter (then and now), she began her journey as an infopreneur by writing ebooks, teaching courses and speaking about safe, savvy and sustainable international travel.

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting another company’s product OR service for a commission.

This is one of the many ways I have been making money online for the past 11 years.

I enjoy affiliate marketing because not only is it incredibly simple, but it allows you to promote products and services that I am passionate about while earning some income as well. This is not a “Pyramid Scheme” technique, where you have to recruit other people to sell under you. Affiliate marketing allows you to use YOUR CONTENT to direct your audience towards a product that you love. (While also getting a small kickback for yourself)

Welcome to my monthly income reports. Each month I will be completely transparent with you guys about the money that I am making with my online business. I do this not to boast, but to show you that it is possible to make real money with hard work and dedication. This month I made a HUGE decision in my life AND my families. I decided to step away from my 9-5 day job that I had been a part of since May 0f 2005 when I was only 18 years old! Ah… To be young again 🙂

This decision was not made lightly, and my wife and I spent months praying and talking about the impact of this decision. In this post, I am going to list ten different ways you can make passive income online, but first, I am going to explain what passive income is before I start. Passive income is an income received on a regular basis, with little effort required to maintain it. You will have to work hard NOW to receive the benefit later. You will continue to gain income for the rest of your life, even while you eat, sleep, and travel the world. I will also tell you that I do 7 out of 10 of these methods with a lot of success.

1. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is the ability to earn income by promoting someone else’s product. With this method, you are not putting in the time to create an actual product, but promoting someone else’s by using a video, blog post, or some other method of content creation. When you sign up for an affiliate program, you are provided a unique link that you can use to direct people to the product you are trying to promote. Anybody that buys that product through your specific link will earn you a commission. One of the most well-known affiliate programs is the Amazon Associates program, with this program, you can link to any item listed on Amazon and receive a small amount when someone purchases it from your link.
